In 1390. in the time of Hugh, the fifth Rose of Kilravock, the whole writs and evidents of the family were burnt in the cathedral church of Elgin, in which they had been placed for preservation and security.

He died about 1430.

His son, John Rose of Kilravock, was served heir to his father, 11th April 1431
